The Rolling Stones' "Goats Head Soup" emerged from their 1973 exile period, recorded at Dynamic Sounds Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, with Jimmy Miller producing during the band's creative peak following "Exile on Main St." The album spawned "Angie," their first #1 hit in over two years, featuring Nicky Hopkins' delicate piano work that contrasted sharply with the Stones' typical blues-rock approach. "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)" incorporated reggae influences absorbed during the Jamaican sessions, while the controversial "Star Star" was banned by radio stations for its explicit lyrics, forcing Atlantic Records to edit the track for airplay.
