Yesterday and Today (1966 Canadian Mono First Pressing)
This 1966 Capitol Records release (T-2553) is an original Canadian mono first pressing of Yesterday and Today. Manufactured and distributed in Canada by Capitol Records (Canada) Ltd., this unit features the classic "trunk" cover.
As a high-fidelity mono release, it is identified by the "rainbow" colorband label and the "Litho in Canada" [MG] logo on the bottom-left of the front cover. Unlike the US versions, which were often pressed at several different plants, Canadian mono pressings of this era are known for their sturdy "paste-over" heavy cardboard construction and the distinct, punchy mono mastering that many collectors prefer over the re-channeled "duophonic" stereo versions of the same year.
