The album features 30 tracks, including early Lennon-McCartney compositions and various rock and roll covers. This specific German pressing on the Bellaphon label is noted for being the first official authorized release of these tapes following a failed legal injunction by the band to block their distribution. The audio underwent significant remix processing at Sound Ideas Studios in New York to enhance the original low-fidelity field recordings. The set is housed in its original laminated gatefold jacket with the "all-text" interior credits.
