American Blues - 8 Record Collection

This lot offers a fantastic journey through the rich sounds of American blues, from raw Delta roots to electrified Chicago and beyond.

This collection is anchored by titans of the genre, including a classic compilation from the king of the blues himself, B.B. King, on the iconic King Records label, and a cornerstone album from the legendary John Lee Hooker, Plays & Sings The Blues, on the seminal Chess label.

The lot also boasts incredible collaborations and masterful solo efforts. Witness the raw energy of two Johnny Winter albums: his celebrated Nothin' But The Blues and the fantastic session album Whoopin' with harmonica master Sonny Terry. Explore the quintessential Piedmont blues partnership of Brownie McGhee & Sonny Terry, the live magic of King Curtis & Champion Jack Dupree captured at Montreux, and foundational recordings from New Orleans piano man Champion Jack Dupree and Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna fiddler "Papa" John Creach.
