Pretend Gyarados Pikachu (151/XY-P)

Pretend Gyarados Pikachu, often referred to as Gyarados Poncho Pikachu, comes from the Pretend Magikarp & Pretend Gyarados Pikachu Special Box released on June 26, 2015. The Pretend Magikarp & Pretend Gyarados Pikachu Special Box was printed and released as a celebration of the opening of Pokémon Center Hiroshima in 2015. The box or promotional cards within (Pretend Gyarados Pikachu and Pretend Magikarp Pikachu) were never released beyond this, making them highly sought after by collectors. Additionally, these were the first full art poncho Pikachu cards released, creating a short series of poncho-wearing Pikachu cards that lasted from 2014 (this includes Mega Tokyo's Pikachu) to 2017.

Pretend Gyarados Pikachu saw zero competitive playability and usage, as the card was designed entirely for collectors.
