This card is significant as it is a highly sought after ultra rare that is often unofficially referred to as an “alternate art”. Additionally, Giratina is a fan favourite from Pokémon Platinum, contributing to the popularity of the card.

Giratina V saw little competitive play during the standard format where it was introduced, with its best placement being 14th in the 2024 World Championships in Kosuke O’s Giratina Lost Zone Box deck.
