Original production art page from the issue 16 of Marvel Comics' humor and teen title Chili (May 1970). Illustrated by longtime humor artist Stan Goldberg, written and edited by Stan Lee, and inscribed with Lee & Goldberg's authentic margin signature in graphite along with other production notes including an inscription that reads "Sol: This just isn't a Chili plot. Can it be switched w/ something else?". Note was either added by or directed at Sol Brodsky who was Marvel's Production Manager at the time.

Chili
Chili was an American teen humor comic book series published by Marvel Comics, debuting with a cover date of May 1969. The title was developed under the editorial direction of Stan Lee, who also scripted early issues alongside veteran artist Stan Goldberg. The series originated as a direct spin-off from Marvel's established teen title Millie the Model, focusing on Millie Collins's career antagonist and fellow high-fashion model, Chili Storm. Goldberg handled primary pencil and ink duties, establishing the visual aesthetic and fashion styling for the run.
The publication served as an extension of the publisher's late Silver Age effort to retain presence across multiple newsstand demographics beyond the expanding superhero genre. While earlier iterations of the character in Millie the Model cast Chili primarily as an abrasive rival, this solo run shifted the editorial perspective, positioning her as a central protagonist dealing with modeling assignments, workplace friction, and comedic misadventures. The book maintained bi-monthly and quarterly publication schedules through the late 1960s and into the 1970s, retaining the standard humor formats of the era with gag strips, pin-ups, and reader-submitted paper doll designs.

Single bid cancellations are at the auctioneer's discretion. For maximum bids:

Decreases require auctioneer approval
Changes won't be permitted if the lot closes within 24 hours or has significant activity
