Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper, born Vincent Furnier, launched his solo career in 1975 after the dissolution of the Alice Cooper band. Furnier legally changed his name to Alice Cooper and released "Welcome to My Nightmare" as his first solo album. The album reached number 5 on the Billboard 200 and was accompanied by a television special that aired on ABC. The supporting tour featured an elaborate theatrical production based on the album's concept, establishing Cooper's approach to solo performances. The single "Only Women Bleed" became a top 40 hit, demonstrating his ability to achieve commercial success as a solo artist.

Cooper released several albums in the late 1970s including "Alice Cooper Goes to Hell" (1976), "Lace and Whiskey" (1977), and "From the Inside" (1978). The follow-up album "Hey Stoopid" (1991) continued this momentum, featuring collaborations with several prominent rock musicians and reaching number 47 on the Billboard 200.
